Stories and Insights:

Libra part deux: In an effort to make their digital central bank more palatable, Libra is changing its stripes a little. Now they are a payment rail for all currencies.

Choice is a tax: If you’re not reading Scott Galloway, you probably should be. You don’t have to agree with everything he writes, but his style is sharp and unapologetic.

The Henry Ford of retail? Walmart and Amazon are competing on different levels in the same arena. What Walmart is demonstrating is that it too is open to fintech transformation.

Data antitrust: The fawning about data is obvious. I mean doesn’t want to know everything about their prospects right? One day the consumer might realize that inefficiencies are actually to their advantage.

UPDATE:  FFCON20 RESCHEDULED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS
NEW DATES JULY 8-9, 2020This week we made the tough decision to reschedule FFCON20 due to rapidly increasing concerns over coronavirus with speakers and delegation cancellations not only from high risk areas, but also from Canadians who are avoiding large events.  Our priority is health safety for all participants.  The conference, held in association with Toronto Finance International (TFI), will now take place July 8 through July 9, 2020. All prior registration terms including discounts and early bird rates will remain.  View announcement
